If we could grab some shovels and finish the job ourselves, we would. But we can’t. Instead, we are:
- Raising awareness. DOT and contractors like Judlau don’t like having a spotlight on their negligence.
- Protest events
- Community meetings to share news and recruit volunteers
- Social media outreach
- Uniting stakeholders. We are much stronger together than alone. We’re coordinating the combined efforts of:
- Local elected leaders
- Community boards
- Impacted residents
- Breaking the silence. Silence was a tactic of the contractor and DOT. We’re changing that by:
- Attracting on-going media coverage
- Speaking at city council hearings and community board meetings
- Sharing viaduct news in English and Spanish
